Zhu Zhu Pets Game – Nintendo DS
OK, it was bound to happen after the runaway success of the Go Go Hamsters .. someone was bound to bring out a licensed game version and already, there is a Zhu Zhu Pets Game available for the Nintendo DS.
The game has been released in the US, but it is being reported that it works perfectly well on UK DSL, DS and DSi machines (we cannot confirm whether that is true) and is now being sold via eBay at least. It isn’t clear whether stock is expected on official UK release, but we will keep a watchful eye out for other UK stockists and any other new console or other games and publish details in this area.
Once we have more details of the game, we will provide details here. In the meantime, here is a brief rundown taken from sears.com :

We now understand that this is a Toys R Us exclusive in the UK (not sure if that is a permanent or limited time exclusive). Toys R Us have provided us with a press release indicating that the FREE HAMSTER IS AVAILABLE FOR FIRST WEEK OF LAUNCH ONLY and will work in all DS versions.

I see that Toys R Us UK are now offering a free Zhu Zhu Hampster with the DS Game at £29.99 , however in the US Toys R Us the price of the DS game with the free Baxter Baby Hamster has dropped to $19.99.
You have been proven right that yet again the UK seems to treated as a Golden cow that is there to be milked.

Toys R Us UK have the ZHU ZHU DS GAME on Pre Order for release on the 23 April 2010 for £29.99 post free , not sure if this includes Ltd Edition baby hamster as issued in the USA.

I am checking retailer product data feeds for the game and none have listed it so far, so grateful to you for flagging it up.
As you say the game is available from ToysRUs abd can be pre-ordered here.
The game is listed as a ToysRUs exclusive which is a very unusual scenario for console games. I suspect that it is a limited time exclusive after which the usual games retailers will also stock it.
It does appear that UK buyers are being short-changed again though … the game is cheaper in the US even though the US version contains the free exclusive baby. Uke UK version makes absolutely no reference to the free Baxter baby.

Toysbythebundle.com are selling the DS GAME at £19.99 with a discount of £1.50 and postage of £3.49 making total cost £20.98 , no free hamster though.
Hmm .. if ToysRUs have it exclusively, then how come others are selling? May be grey import as none of the other big game sellers are listing it.
