Zhu Zhu Pets Hamsters were the Christmas 2009 hit, selling out everywhere under the Go Go Hamster name before they were rebranded as Zhu Zhu Hamsters.
We helped many of you find your elusive Go Go Hamster through use of our live stockchecker and we hope to help you during 2010 and beyond too. Check out our other dedicated sites such as Zhu Zhu Rabbits and Zhu Zhu Hedgehogs and others as new ranges are developed.

Woolworths are now advertising some of the new Zhu Zhu items as in stock , Tesco direct have them as due in , as are Smyths Toys .
Just one thing to note, Tesco are advertising the Grooming Salon as being supplied with 3 Hamsters for £22.99 however if you check the other suppliers they state that Hamsters are not included , looks like Tesco have seen the pictures of the 3 Hamsters in the Salon and assume they come with it.

Just to let you know I was in Toys R Us in Belfast and they have the Jilly Hamster with Cup on Dress and Tiara on sale , bit steep at £14.99.
Is this the start of the new products being introduced into the UK, any idea when the new series is due to land.
Apologies for the delay in responding Jim. I have been a bit busy in my day job. Character Online haven’t given me any indication that they intended to import any such ‘combined’ items.
I still don’t quite get it. A multi-pack deserves a discount in my book.
But I still don’t get the need for this sort of multi-pack anyway .. might as well leave the customers to buy the items individually in my eyes.

Have you been on the Toys R Us UK site , there are now multi item packs such as a Play City Pack and a couple of playset packs complete with Hamster , looks to me that they are trying to run down old stock before the new items become available , however prices are still abit steep.
Also on a different note Build A Bear have in the USA have an exclusive Zhu Zhu Hamster name Carly on sale , have E-Mailed Build A Bear UK to see if it will be available here , however not to impressed with their Customer Services, as still no response.
I have noticed that Build a Bear UK now has an in-store stand with Zhu Zhu pets and playsets.
I hadn’t noticed that ToysRUs were creating ‘packs’ – for the most part, I just allow the automatic stocklists to flow through to here and leave the site to run itself.
That’s good if they can trim the prices a bit to reflect multi-buy discounts. As we know, it is expensive to buy everything at full RRP.

Came across another addition to the Zhu Zhu Hamster range , a tunnel set along the same lines as the Patch exclusive has been released , this time the Hamster included is a limited edition call YO YO the Zhu Zhu , I presume this will not be available in the UK.

I’ve seen all of Character’s Retailer presentation materials for Zhu Zhu imports this year and Yo Yo isn’t listed.
The boys will be well served this year though … as the Kung Zhu range adds a whole load of new hamsters, vehicles, macho costumes and playsets. I think that they should have brought out lions and tigers though .. the hamsters are abit tame in my eyes.

Have you seen the Chunk on E-Bay with CUP ON BUNNY EARS, seller littlebiz has it on for sale , they also have the Spanish versions of the ZHU ZHU Hamsters which come complete with blankets, Do you think these are genuine as they it statethat the items are shipped from China.
Hmmm… confused me there. The seller is littebiz not littLebiz.
I seriously doubt that the item is original … why pick Chunk alone to have clip on ears? Why have a morphing hamster at all? But even more of a question … why isn’t is available in official outlets?

Sorry for the confusion over spelling, however have come across another ZHU ZHU this time on E-Bay from a UK seller beanieman 1970.If you key into search on E-Bay ZHU ZHU JILLY WITH TIARA there a Jilly in box complete with Cup on dress and tiara sealed in the box with a full description. This seller has a number of these for sale with Buy it now and also auction listings.I only highlight these to you as I have a 6yr old daughter who adore these Zhu Zhu pets and I don’t want anyone to purchase these if they are not original and be disappointed.

That’s a tricky question as the DSi is capable of Region Locking.
I have read that only applies to games made specifically for the DSi and therefore games made for DS and DSi should work outside of the intended region, but I am not giving any guarantees.
Better that you wait until someone else has gotten hold of it and reported back.
Update : Now spotted on eBay – and reported that it works on UK machines which it should as it is designed to be used on the DS too .. and that should mean that it is universally usable. Sellers are reporting the same.

Toys R Us UK are advertising the DS game as coming 23th April , delivery free on Pre-Order at £29.99
I contacted Character about availability of the new Hamster range and they have told me there will be a new Kung Zhu range of Hamsters for release mid June .
You can see photos of them on Toywiz.com , they are the Ninjas and the the Special Forces and they compete against each other , there is also range of equipment to kit them out in .

Just been browsing the internet and have come across ZHUZHUPETS4ALL.COM and they have the list and photos of all the upcoming releases in the ZHU ZHU range , better start saving now items are listed for mid June release.
There are a new range of Rock Star Hamsters , a pink rabbit and lots of playsets , including Police car, Airport and Beauty Saloon to name a few.

It is a comprehensive view of all the pets and playsets that might make their way into the UK.
But it doesn’t inspire me to buy from them … what a raggedy, horrid site … and a gmail email address. That reminds me of the wholesale scammers who couldn’t supply an on-domain email address and used gmail or similar free email to operate from.
In all fairness, the Zhu Zhu range IS meant for kids who,funnily enough, find these toys rather endearing! I’m thankful for any site that shows me what is coming up in the coming months, just because it’s a “raggedy, horrid site” (in some people’s opinion) it has been informative! Nobody is FORCED to order from ANY site they don’t want to!

Normal convention though is to be wary of any site that wants you to buy, yet uses a free email service. Their online presence leaves a lot to be desired and would put me off ordering from them, but I can’t argue just how abreast of the future plans that they are.
